A hard, hydrophobic layer bonded to your paint, so dust rinses off instead of grinding in and the gloss survives a Dubai summer. Corrected first, coated second.
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer, silica based, that bonds to your clear coat and cures into a hard, slick, water-repelling layer. It is not a wax and it does not wash off. Once cured it becomes a sacrificial surface: contamination sits on the coating instead of on your paint, and most of it rinses away with water alone.
What it does: repels water and dust so the car stays cleaner between washes, resists bird lime, tree sap, tar and hard water spotting, blocks UV so the paint does not dull and fade, and adds visible depth and gloss.
It cuts washing time substantially, which in this climate is a real benefit rather than a marketing one.
What it does not do: stop stone chips. Coating is measured in microns. It has hardness but almost no thickness, so it will not absorb an impact. It also does not make a car scratch-proof, and any shop telling you otherwise is overselling. If you want impact protection, that is paint protection film, and coating goes over the top of it.
The failure mode people underestimate here is not scratching, it is etching. Tap water in the UAE is mineral heavy. Wash a car in direct sun, let it flash dry, and you leave mineral deposits on hot paint.
Those bake in. Do it repeatedly through a summer and you get permanent water spot etching that only machine polishing removes.
A ceramic coating gives that water far less to hold onto, and gives you a much longer window to rinse it off before it bonds. Combined with washing in shade and drying properly, it is the difference between paint that still looks deep at year three and paint that has gone flat and blotchy.
| Package | Includes | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Gloss Enhance | Decontamination, single-stage polish, entry ceramic coating | Newer cars in good condition wanting protection rather than correction. |
| Correction and Coat | Full decontamination, multi-stage machine correction, premium coating | The standard job. Cars with swirls, wash marks and dulling. |
| Full Protection | Correction, premium coating on paint, plus glass, wheels and trim coated | Owners who want the whole car to shed water, not just the panels. |
| Coating over PPF | Ceramic applied over existing or newly fitted paint protection film | Maximum coverage. Impact protection plus chemical protection. |
| Interior Protection | Fabric and leather sealant, dashboard and trim UV protection | Add-on. Directly relevant here, since UV is what kills UAE interiors. |
Wax and sealants last weeks to a few months in UAE heat. Cheap, but you are reapplying constantly.
Ceramic coating lasts years, resists chemicals and UV, and makes the car dramatically easier to clean. It is the right default for most cars here.
Paint protection film is the only one that stops physical damage. On the front end it takes the stone hits nothing else can.
The combination that covers the most ground for the money is film on the front end and coating over the entire car, film included. Coating on top of PPF also makes the film itself easier to clean and slows its ageing.
Almost all of the price is correction labour, not the bottle. Two identical cars can differ enormously in cost because one is a year old and garaged and the other has three years of car park scuffs and brush wash swirls.
Vehicle size, coating grade and how many correction stages the paint needs are the three variables.
That is also why the very cheap ceramic offers around Dubai should be treated carefully. A price that only covers a wash and a wipe-on product is not the same service, and it locks in whatever condition the paint is currently in.
Bring the car to Al Garhoud for a paint inspection and we will quote what it actually needs.

A coating is optically clear and permanent for its lifespan. Whatever the paint looks like when the coating goes on is what it will look like for the next several years, only glossier and therefore more obvious. Any shop that offers to coat your car in three hours without polishing it is selling you a sealed-in problem.
CarBros is at Showroom No. 3, 8th Street, next to HMS Al Garhoud Hospital, Al Garhoud, Dubai, open seven days from 9:00 AM until midnight. Coating work is done indoors under controlled lighting, which is not optional for this service, and cars stay with us for the cure.
Most of the cost is paint correction labour rather than the coating itself, so it varies with the condition of your paint and the size of the car. A well-kept newer car needs far less work than one carrying three years of swirls. CarBros quotes after a paint inspection at the workshop so the number reflects the actual job.
Depending on the grade of coating, two to five years or more. In the UAE, real-world life depends heavily on how the car is washed and whether it is parked outdoors. Brush car washes and dry-wiping dust shorten it faster than anything the weather does.
It is one of the few detailing products whose benefit is obvious in this climate. Daily dust means constant cleaning, and a coating means most of that dust rinses off with water rather than being wiped into the paint. It also blocks the UV that dulls paint and resists the mineral water spotting that etches it.
It adds hardness and resists very light marring, but it will not stop stone chips or a real scratch. It has hardness without thickness. If you want impact protection, that is paint protection film, and ceramic coating can be applied over the film.
Technically yes, and we would advise against it. The coating is clear and lasts years, so any swirls or scratches on the paint stay visible underneath and become more obvious once the gloss increases. Correction first is what separates a proper coating job from a wipe-on product.
Typically two to three days, sometimes longer if the paint needs multi-stage correction. The coating then needs to stay dry for about a week, so no washing and ideally no rain exposure during that period.
Yes. Coating over gloss vinyl works well and makes the wrap easier to clean and slower to age. For matte and satin wraps, a matte-specific coating is used so the finish is not gloss-shifted.
